29 Things To Do On A Rainy Day

Things To Do On A Rainy Day

It’s no secret that the weather in the UK is absolutely atrocious, and even though it’s the middle of May, it still seems to be relentlessly raining most of the time.

Today I thought I’d put together a little post all about the things that you can do on a rainy day…

  1. Bake something delicious; cupcakes, brownies or go all out and make a luxurious chocolate cake.
  2. Read a good book.
  3. Write a journal.
  4. Binge-watch a good series.
  5. Have a long pampering session.
  6. Build a fort and watch TV and eat snacks all day.
  7. Call a loved one and have a long catch up.
  8. Try a new hair/makeup look.
  9. Write a blog post.
  10. Catch up on other people’s blog posts.
  11. Take part in a Twitter chat.
  12. Play board games.
  13. Tidy your bedroom/house.
  14. Do some online shopping.
  15. Browse Pinterest for some fun DIYs ideas.
  16. Invite friends over to have a mini party.
  17. Have an indoor picnic.
  18. Watch the Harry Potter movies.
  19. Make a scrapbook.
  20. Make afternoon tea .
  21. Listen to the radio and have a mini dance party in your kitchen/living room.
  22. Paint your nails.
  23. Have a long nap.
  24. Play card games with your family/friends.
  25. Start writing that book you’ve always been meaning to.
  26. Spend the day doing an adult colouring book.
  27. You could do an indoor activity; something like bowling or going to the cinema.
  28. Go old school and play on your DS or Wii (Matt and I did this a few weeks ago and it was so much fun!).
  29. Do a jigsaw.

What do you like to do on a rainy day? Let me know in the comments.

  2. This is such a cute little post. Sometimes it’s hard to think of things to do when it rains, even though we’re used to it in the UK! I tend to snuggle up beneath the quilt and put on a good movie x

  3. Such a heartfelt post. I’ve been in Manchester for the last 2 days and even when I was busy my thoughts were always with the victims. Will be writing a post on my blog later on this week 🙂 keep up the good work x
